On the brighter side, watched East Meets Watts last night and loved it. The jokes are much more rapid-fire performed live. The presentation on DVD is very pleasing to the eye and ear as well.
I got to see them do this one live in Chicago in September. Good to hear the DVD is well done too. Does it say if the DVD is from a specific live show?

No clue- I've searched the forums at CT and Sat News and there's no mention. I can tell you it wasn't recorded here in Phoenix where I saw East Meets Watts.

I'll have to check the clips. The theater they did it at in Chicago wasn't real big and kind of dumpy, err, I mean had character!

I imagine the current $32.99 Amazon pre-order price will be the cheapest we see.

I got it in my Gold Box so I was able to get it for $31 and change. Amazon has had the best price on the past couple of sets.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

I went ahead and snagged both 17 and 16, which I hadn't picked up yet, my wife had some sort of free shipping deal with Amazon so they were both about $33/34 shipped each.

Pretty much everything on Amazon is free shipping if it's over $25.

For some reason Netflix has none of the Vol. 2 discs up for rental - not even listings. They at least have the few OOP/expired discs listed for "save for later" like Godzilla vs. Megalon.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

In celebration of the arrival of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Vol. XVII, Shout Factory has informed us what episodes will be featured in the next set, “Mystery Science Theater 3000, Vol. XVIII.” They are:
• episode 208- LOST CONTINENT (“Rock climbing, Joel.”),
• episode 417- CRASH OF THE MOONS with short, “General Hospital”–Segment 3 (“Boopie!”),
• episode 621- THE BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS with shorts: “Money Talks!” & “Progress Island, U.S.A.” (“Flag on the moon…”) and
• episode 813- JACK FROST (“I’m dowling!”).
We’ll give you info on extras, etc., as soon as we get it.

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

Gah! This is great to see all these released, but I have such a backlog of eps!

And keep in mind I probably saw no more than a dozen eps first-run, most of my MSTie viewing has been via DVD.
