Fox Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The Paul Newman Tribute Collection on 22nd September 2009 priced at $89.98 SRP. Acting in more than 65 movies spanning over 50 years, Paul Newman is being honoured here by Fox with this 17-disc set featuring 13 of his films. These include the two-disc Special Collector’s Editions of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Hustler, The Verdict and The Towering Inferno, as well as nine other films ranging throughout Newman’s historic career. I only own a bare bones Verdict and I've been meaning to get more Newman movies, this might be a good collection for me to get. I'll probably wait for a decent sale though

I don't like it as much when then they put the disks in a book instead of cases. I hope this one has a real case for them. Can't tell by the picture. Otherwise this looks very nice.

Seems like a dull repackaging job of discs I already own.

And I've always had a soft spot for "Rally 'Round the Flag, Boys!" even though it's considered one of his worst.
