As a resident expert in this area I should probably comment. There are lots of short term exclusives, but everything gets a general release eventually.

I think there have been one or two very minor exceptions, but I can't think of them at the moment.

If there was ever a movie that needed to be riffed on, this would be it. Good cheesy fun, I will certainly grab this one.*

*Long time Nick Fury fan here by the way.

That was the Albert Pyun directed version. It's pretty bad, very low budget. It was released to VHS and can be found on bootleg dvd.

Just so you know, Lightspeed isn't actually based on a comic book, it was just by Stan Lee.

And Man-Thing is only in his own movie for about 2 minutes, so that can be a skip also

Corman's Fantastic Four movie can be found in it's entirety on the most common video sharing site, in ten minnute blocks. Probably won't beat a DVD, but at least it can be seen.

I don't buy TV movies, but the only Marvel TV movie that I remember working reasonably well was 78's DR. STRANGE.

Good to know, though I'd say my sub-collection is more of a comic book/super hero collection, so it's open to all kinds of stupid entries.

Don't forget Dolph Lundren's The Punisher. I thought the Captain America movie was pretty good. It had the Red Skull in it!

You're not alone. I've even bought bought Electra, Judge Dredd, Red Sonja, My Name is Modesty and Sheena, Queen of the Jungle solely for their comic book ties to add to my themed collection.

Kind of pointless at this time since Marvel killed Cap.

Agreed.

Long time Fury fan here, also. Ever since the Kirby/Steranko days.

Much as I want to grab this Tuesday, I think I will wait. I've been bit a few times with the animated stuff price-dropping like a rock.

Sweet. Not to derail this, but I own Fury #1, #2, #4, #5, #7 from Steranko's* run. Probably my favorite run of any writer or artist on comics (I do love Daredevil and Miller's run, but he owes a lot to Steranko).

*I met Steranko at the Comic Con in NYC, very cool dude who still does jaw dropping artwork.

Did anyone pick this up? Any comments on it? Any special features? Not that I expect any.

Sorry- I guess I didn't make myself too clear. What I meant was that I usually buy all the comic-related stuff when it comes out (crap and all) and I'd probably have to put this on the same level as the animated stuff. Seeing how much they've dropped in price, I figure I can be patient on this as well.

But I'm also interested if anyone else picked it up and what their thoughts are.

I picked it up this morning, but have yet to watch it. Anyway, there are no special features listed on the back, but it's Full Screen with English/Spanish Dolby Stereo and Spanish Subtitles.

i will buy nick fury but i thought this movie was hilarious, although it wasn't meant to be. i saw it on the scifi channel a while back and could not believe how corny this was. again, i will be buying it though because like someone said earlier, i am a "marvel whore" as well. . .

I never thought that Samuel L. Jackson and The Hoff would play the same character.

It makes me wonder how Baywatch would have been with Jackson. It also makes me wonder how Pulp Fiction could have been.
