I'm not entirely sure how much I am going to believe ABC morning news, but they are reporting that the DVD & HD-DVD releases are being set for "early april".

Agree, I don't need to see it more than once, and besides they will probably have a part 2 if I know hollywood.

Well, I was going to see it this week but might as well save some money and wait to rent it on HD-DVD.

Already, wow that's a pretty fast announcement. Hopefully we will get a commentary from J.J. and Matt Reeves as well. Would love to hear their thoughts on this film.

This seems so quick that I'm wondering if there will be any extras. I think it would be interesting to see all the behind the scenes of the marketing of the film and the internet frenzy. The movie is pretty simple so I can't imagine that a commentary would be too interesting.

The plot might be simple but the behind the scenes and making of this movie sounds incredible and complex and I'd love to hear how they did it. "How to Make a $150 million Monster Movie on a $30 Million Budget" as it were.

This movie was much better than I thought it would be! I really hope it's a loaded 2-discer as well. I dunno how they'd be able to incorporate all the online stuff... I guess making DVD-ROM features? And while this is doubtful, I hope they'd add some type of "documentary" discussing the history of the monster/attack, kinda like they had for the witch on The Blair Witch dvd.
