The combo is the one that Amazon no longer carries with the movie only Blu-ray edition being the one in print (and how much more could it possibly have been to just slap them on the BD as is in the first place?)..

It is a strategy. Release a BD/DVD combo as a means to offer the DVD edition with the extras, and not have to put them on the BD, and then discontinue that edition in order to release just the Blu-ray disc.

I would rattle their cage as there is indication that Amazon's major supplier has at least 1 copy on hand to fulfill your order. Technically it is not 'officially' out of print. Though I am sure it is on the verge.

Guy from Masters of Cinema/Eureka has stated a couple of times on other forums, in response to people asking (due to this thread) about City Girl going OOP, that it is definitely NOT going out of print (the confusion seems to be because they are releasing a DVD version of what was previously a Blu-only title in April). On the other hand, it's a great film in a perfect edition, so if people want to rush and grab it, no problem :-)
And thanks mcarver for doing this week in week out - as soon as a new post comes I scan it immediately for anything I need to seek out asap, and have caught many about-to-disappear movies because of it! Cheers :-)

In the latest of a series of deal to more fully exploit its library, Miramax has entered into a domestic distribution agreement with Echo Bridge Entertainment to distribute 251 titles on DVD and Blu-ray including Music of the Heart, Marvin’s Room and selected titles from franchise series including Halloween, Hellraiser and Children Of The Corn.
Echo Bridge Chairman and President Michael Rosenblatt said they were excited about adding these titles to their library became “many have tremendous star power and are cult classics.”
Miramax CEO Mike Lang said that although many of these movies have been around for years “in many cases” they “have never been fully exploited.”
Lang was appointed CEO earlier this year by the Film Yard group which acquired the Miramax name and nearly 700-title library from Disney late last year for $663 million. The new Miramax has focused on distribution and exploitation of the library but so far has not moved into distribution, although it did make a deal with the Weinstein Company to license or joint venture on some remakes.
This follows an agreement announced last week by Miramax with Lion’s Gate and Studiocanal for DVD and Blu-ray release of many of the company’s higher profile titles including Shakespeare in Love, Kill Bill and Good Will Hunting in North America and Europe.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just re-used the previously released DVDs with the same transfers. Don't know what they'll do if there are both an R-rated and unrated versions of the same film; they could re-release both, unrated only, or R-rated only. I wouldn't be surprised if they only released the R-only.

Looking at the pre-release info, it looks to be a mix of everything ... sometimes the unrated version and not the R or visa versa. It also looks as if they may be bare-bone releases as BV may have the rights to the special features that were not transferred in the sale of the films.
Nobody knows what Echo Bridge has in store for the titles they have acquired.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just re-used the previously released DVDs with the same transfers. Parallax View has been impossible to find for some time. I assumed it had been discontinued years ago. This may be a case where someone noticed that it had not been officially discontinued and put it on the list.
