Not sure what you mean "Movies/Shows to Buy". Really, this is intended to keep track of what titles you watch and bought during the month and kind of look at your progress month by month on what you have left to watch. Maybe you meant bought?

When I started my post in this thread, I thought it would be really interesting and it has been. However, it's also really depressing. I really should try and buy less DVDs!

About 6 years ago when I started collecting DVDs I found it odd that some people would talk about still having movies/ dvds still in shrink wrap. I was one of these people that bought the movie, watched it and tried to watch the commentary also. But now I am one of those people that have some still in shrink wrap and can't stop buying! I'll probably never watch the entire Transformers series set I have, nor finish the He-Man sets, I won't be done with the 4th set of Looney Tunes before the 5th one comes out this fall and then I go off and buy Dungeons & Dragons the entire series. I thought about cancelling cable just to catch up on DVDs and DVR and books I want to read.

Man did we all pick a screwy hobby or what?

While none of my DVDs are in their shrink wrap (except for one), there are a ton that I have not watched yet. This thread could potentially help me not SOLVE that problem, but at least help me begin to chip away at the movies that I haven't watched. I'd like to think that the upcoming "October Horror Movie Challenge" would help, but horror is probably what I already watch the most of.

I'm still trying to figure out how I am going to put my list together in terms of special features and TV box sets. While listing an entire season of a TV show as ONE title might make my queue look smaller, it will take me an eternity to get through it AND it might make it difficult to keep track of if I stray from a show for long periods of time. A few years ago, I started printing out the episode guides from TVGuide.com and marking each episode as I watched it. But last time I looked, TVGuide.com had the episodes listed alphabetically rather than chronologically so I stopping doing that.

I'm going to try to start my queue in September, but if probably won't be 100% accurate right away.

I don't mark the episodes as I watch them, but I generally try to watch a disk, a season, or a package at a time. Multidisk changer helps, that way I can bookmark multiple series and have different themes going on.
Most tv on dvd do have the eps in the "right" order nowadays, don't they? I know Undeclared didn't but it was a typo.
I do keep disks unopened till I watch them (unless there might be a floater or something.) In case I have second thoughts, it's easier to sell "in factory packaging" then "open"

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

If I recall, Mr. Peepers usually has the new post up on the first day of each month.

I can start a new one a few days before the first if it helps

September, and yes, I went on vacation so I didn't do stats yet. They will be done soon.
