As for toys with DVDs, that's a big "nay" from me. Just not my thing. I'm not into fancy packaging either.

Yeah, those were the days...when they didn't jack up the price by $15 just because it came with a bobblehead, or any other exclusive. Still can't remember why I never got it. It's about $30 on Ebay, but it kills me to spend that when it was $15 in the store, and I already have the DVD, so essentially, I'd be spending $30 for the bobblehead.

I got it from Yesasia last December. It was advertised as a Tai Seng DVD release (but in reality its the Region ALL - Limited Edition Media Asia Release)

Below are the stuff that came with the boxset

#d Holofix Certificate, Hardcover Photo Production Book, A Jigsaw toy puzzle, Initial D stickers, bookmarks

The only thing I have is the Planet of the Apes bust, and I hope it's the only one I ever get. The main reason I got it was because I didn't have any of the movies on dvd yet.

Hey Xage -

A little off-topic, but after seeing your Evil Dead, Saw, and DVD toys collection in various threads, can we see a pic of your entire collection? Something tells me that it's massive.

cheers,

I liked them in the early days of dvd, but now storage space is a real issue for me, so I avoid getting them now.

As the Christmas Holiday season approaching.. more and more companies are into producing giftsets...

This month alone there were numerous transformers giftsets, and the upcoming Spiderman 3 (especially the FYE giftset) to close October...

Next month and the month after.. more giftsets arises

So will it be more YEY or NEY to consumers?

1. I love gimmicks
2. I'm a sucker for fancy packaging
3. My shelves are full of Transformers and action figures anyway
4. I'm single and not looking

In other words, hell yeah. Well, not always, though. I for one opted for the cheaper Matrix Ultimate box because 1) the statue doesn't look too shabby, and 2) the transparent plastic box looks like one of those five dollar CD storing boxes.

I did get DaVinci Code just because it came with the cryptex, though. >_>
