Re: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

QT seems to be quite a flapper when it comes to these things. I still have a hard time believing Inglorious Bastards is coming out.

Brad Pitt is in it. It'll come out.

It's nice to get a little nugget of hope about TWBA. I'll be one of the first to snag it.

On one hand, I agree with you, but on the other, if the new material is up to the same standard as the rest of the film(s), I'd be happy to see it.

At best, I'd liken it to The Godfather: The Complete Novel situation: a different but equally satisfying experience, particularly for the way certain aspects of the story are fleshed out.

[quote=Pizza;9220251]I love Kill Bill and Tarantino but like most have had my patience stretched to the max on the whole bloody affair thing. Late last year I finally came to the conclusion that I don't care about this release anymore. Too much time has passed and I feel the original creative synergy QT had with Kill Bill has dissipated.

I'm kinda with Pizza on this - I'll be happy when it comes out, but I'm done holding my breath.

Re: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

I waited so long that I just grabbed them mournfully and walked out of the store. Turns out...I stole them. I was just so sad that I was going to pay for them that Best Buy never even saw me go out.

Re: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

I held out man...i was annoyed that I was now going to buy them for the 8.99 or whatever they were (cuz I really really hate to buy one edition w/ no features and later to find out that another edition w/ features comes out). I wasn't too mournful lol..but i was walking thru the line..and I just..kept walking and walking until I got to my car and drove off. Didn't notice...I actually stole them till..well...I got home.

You can't be serious. Why would you even share that story?

So since you didn't actually mean to do it, I'd assume you're returning them? Oh, but you'd only do that if you didn't mean to steal them...

Wait a minute... being sad makes you invisible to security???

This is great news for Prozac-deprived shoplifters!

Cuz it's funny? I've never done that before for anything and the fact that I got away with it...was funny? And yes, I did take it back...the manager was surprised that I would actually bring it back..he just gave them to me for free. So...I still haven't paid for Kill Bill yet...

You guys are acting like he is a terrible person for accidentally stealing something. Loosen up, it's not that big of a deal, and even if he hadn't taken them back, what business is it of yours to call him out on it?

Re: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Stealing is bad, no matter how you phrased it however what's worse is people bumping this thread without any relevant news of its release being given

Yeah but he didn't steal it, so I don't see why people are still getting on his ass about it.

Re: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

He says he didn't steal it. It's our business to call him out on it because he's the one that brought it up. He was bragging about not having paid for it and there's no mention of returning them until he was faced with people not congratulating him on his awesome deal (YMMV).

Yeah. I'm calling BS on the entire story. It's either someone trying way too hard to rationalize their shoplifting, or, more likely, it's a bad joke that has gotten way out of hand.

Re: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

I was so depressed over this story that I went to Best Buy and walked out with Tarantino's entire film catalog. Security didn't notice me and I didn't realize what had happened until I got to my car. When I went back, the manager sliced me in two with a Hanzō sword. I couldn't believe it!

I thought Hanzō stopped making swords.

I just received my copy. It's region 2 but I have a region-free dvd player so it's all good here.
