The following quote was taken from Bey Logan's blog page at the Dragon Dynasty website in regards to Michael Jai White and the "Kill Bill:The Whole Bloody Affair" eventual release on DVD.

Quote:
As mentioned above, we are painstakingly working our way towards the eventual release of the long-awaited Kill Bill NC-17 which will (QT willing) feature Michael’s fight scene incorporated into the film itself. I was happy to at least get to screen the scene on the earlier DVD, as it was the audience’s only chance to see Bill himself in action. It also features Quentin’s most obvious homage to kung fu cinema, with Michael addressing Carradine (and Uma Thurman) in ‘dub speak’ before going into combat.

I was hoping that scene would be back into the film. I love the scene and think it adds some energy and action into volume 2.

So, is this going to be a Dragon Dynasty release since Bey mentioned it in his blog?

I was really hoping this would come out this year, but it's definitely not happening now.

It seems that way. Although there hasn't been any information about their upcoming releases. I think that we won't get any new releases until the new year.

Unlikely, although it might be a nice way to move the films to an HD format.

I saw the Whole Bloody Affair twice with Quentin and here never once mentioned putting in the Jai White fight scene.

Funny thing was Harry was there as well. Quentin did a screening of the movie here in Austin last year. I sat in the same row as Kurt Russell, Mike Judge, and Robert Rodriguez. Quentin showed the same print he showed in Cannes with the french subtitles as well. This was a paid screening he did at the Alamo Drafthouse but those of us in his row were guest of his or the Alamo.

Quentin would show his personal print to his actors while in Austin shooting Death Proof. He would show it late at night at the old Alamo downtown location.

Do not hate because Austin rules.

RZA was not there though at one screening Fiona Apple was since they were shooting a show for IFC.

Tarantino has many movie screenings/festivals in Austin, all the time. I have a few friends that have been to them. He talks about them in the Hot Fuzz commentary.

Interestingly enough, I was at Moviestop the other day, and on the coming soon/reserve board, Kill Bill was on there. No date though...

After the showing, did he ask for a censored, heavily edited version of the film to be released under the banner of "Director's Cut"?

I saw the same thing. Under it was Duke Nukem Forever.
