See, the problem with QT is he's a movie geek, and his movies are made/marketted toward movie geeks. And since we, as movie geeks, know the deal on DVD double-dips and how to avoid them, the studio heads behind QT's films know that we're 'smarter than the average bear', so to speak.

Basically its like Wile E. Coyote chasing after the Road Runner when it comes to QT special editions on DVD.

I completely agree. But if you want to try something that will emphasize your point even more, read your comment I've quoted above in QT's voice (inside your head). You see, we movie geeks even sound/speak like him, which is one quick way to explain his success.

Terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.

Its funny to think about though, I'm never going to be able to look at my movie debates the same way again. When did you come to that conclusion?

Jan 1, 2008?

Came across a listing of an NC-17 rated 4 DVD set at BB.com...
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=1&id=1764329

pretty interesting.

I can't be without giggling at the irony; the movie gets edited into one long film, only to be cut down in half again in order to fit on DVD.

Well, Jan. 1, 2008 is a Tuesday...

They also have a price ($49.99 seems kind of high, to be honest) and an SKU.

The sku isn't an in-store sku, just an online sku.

49.99 is quite steep a price. They're sucking the lifeblood in us in broad daylight! I'm still gonna buy it ha ha!

This thing still isn't out yet? Wasn't there already a box set released? So this is the special edition set. Anyone have the features that's included?

$49.99 isn't that high for an MSRP considering what this is. But either way, I wouldn't trust Best Buy's information at this time.

No, there has not been a box set released. The closest thing was when Vol 2 came out, if you bought it at Best Buy you got a slipcover to hold the two of them together.

Ah that's what i box mixed up about. The BB exclusive. Hmm so this would be a nice buy for me since i don't have any of the volumes yet. I can't believe it's slated for an '08 release.

So is this the actual fabled box set of the series? Hmm..looks kind of sparse at only 4 DVDs since weren't they supposed to include both of the films separated, combined, theatrical and unrated cuts, plus loads of features such as there were in the release of Sin City? Otherwise this looks like to be another attempt to swindle money out of fans and preparation for another double dip after this release.

I keep planning on ordering the Japanese discs, then I keep thinking "The Whole Bloody Affair" will come out. The torment of it all.
