I would say they shouldn't count...first, you can't deduct it if it wasn't in your 'to be watched ' list; also, the point of this, at least in part, is to justify our purchases.

I'm even too, until Venture Brothers S2 comes in.
Of course I'm not really even since I traded two sub-90 minute movies for 2 complete anime series.

I wouldn't just because it's not on your unwatched list.

Just think of it as a bonus movie that counts for nothing except the pleasure/displeasure of watching it.

edit: didn't notice it got answered the next page

Wow. You bought a season set of a tv show, watched it the same month, and still have a net change of -36 for the month.

That's pretty good.

Let's see if I can figure this out. TV shows count as one, but I'm including episodes watched/total episodes to see progress. When I'm starting out with an unwatched count of only 6, I think I'm only setting myself up for failure, but oh well...

Pre-April Unwatched DVDs: 6 (44 tv episodes and 6 movies)
The Bob Newhart Show Season 3 (4/24)
The Bob Newhart Show Season 4 (0/24)
A Day at The Races
A Night in Casablanca
Room Service/At the Circus
Go West/The Big Store

Bought so far in April: 11
Little Miss Sunshine
The Illusionist
The Lady In The Water
Shopgirl
Sara Evans A Video Collection
Bones Season 1 (0/22)
Gilmore Girls Season 6 (0/22)
NCIS Season 1 (0/23)
NCIS Season 2 (0/23)
NCIS Season 3 (0/24)
Siouxsie: Dreamshow: Live at the Royal Festival Hall

Watched in April: 8
Little Miss Sunshine
The Illusionist
The Lady In The Water
Shopgirl
Sara Evans A Video Collection
Siouxsie: Dreamshow: Live at the Royal Festival Hall
A Day at The Races
Bones Season 1 (22/22)
NCIS Season 1 (4/23)*
*tv shows don't count towards official total until all episodes are watched.

Currently Unwatched: 9 (132 tv episodes and 5 movies)
Change in April: +3

Thanks! And thank you for coming up with this idea; it's really helped me get through a lot of my unwatched DVDs. My unwatched movies are finally getting down to a manageable level, so I think next month, I'm gonna focus exclusively, or at least almost exclusively, on some of my unwatched TV shows. I've got quite a few of them, so I'll see how many I can get through.

Rob

i might go with this idea also. i have all 5 seasons of 24 and 3 seasons of nip/tuck to make it through. it won't really help my count go down dramtically, but it will be nice to get through them.

kind of disappointed in my numbers for this month. Only watched 4 and bought 3 at least I am in the negative. Moving out hurt my buying and watching. I still need to unpack all my dvds that are still boxed up from moving.

One thing I found funny about last months stats was that everyone who bought Borat/Blood Diamonds/Casino Royale watched it except for one person. Then the fourth most bought movie didn't even make the watched list. There should have been 2 people to keep the pattern nice.

I can understand the bond movies getting seen since one just came out but where did Cider House, Mallrats, and Straw Dogs come from?

Top Movies Bought
Borat - 5
Blood Diamonds - 4
Casino Royale - 4
Children of Men - 3
Peter Pan - 3
Bee Season - 2
Re-Animator - 2

Top Movies Watched
Borat - 4
Blood Diamonds - 3
Casino Royale - 3
Cider House Rules - 2
Diamonds Are Forever - 2
Goldfinger - 2
Mallrats - 2
Straw Dogs - 2

turned out even for the month unless i manage time to watch something after work tomorrow. getting pretty busy with summer and work stuff, so i might try to knock out some tv sets in may.

RobCA is really kicking some butt.

Indeed, RobCA had a lot of self cotnrol it seems last month and didn't buy much.

I'm changing my numbers now so mine will be good for the new topic.

I'm still stuck with all tv sets (one is a mini series) but I have 3 movies coming in the mail and a few things I'm buying this month but no where enar last month.
