24 Season 6 Premiere dvd

What type of audio/video quality should we expect on this?

Up to par with the the complete season sets?

Yes, the video/audio quality is on par with the sets. At least from what I can tell.

I was tempted to buy it last week, but didn't want to get in trouble.

You can't get in trouble for buying a DVD that has been put out for sale.

I don't remember what the price tag was, but it was somewhere around $9.99.

Is iTunes going to be carrying Season Six?

Actually, the audio is 2.0 channel stereo only, no other options. In fact, no options or extras at all, not even subtitles.

I believe they will be releasing similar sets over the coming months, apparenty in an effort to recoup some of the profits lost due to downloading - and the vanilla quality of these releases will ensure a lot of people will probably double dip with the eventual box set for the 5.1 sound and extras.

Yeah, I need to pick this one up on Tuesday ASAP. My really stupid cable company (TIME WARNER!!!) got rid of our FOX channel so the only way we can pick up the signal is by using rabbit ears. THe reception is pretty horrible, and after watch the Jack Bauer Power Hour in glorious HD courtesy of Comcast last year it makes it all the more difficult. It's killing me to not be watching this yet, but since I already waited like eight months I think I can last two more days. I'm gonna pick up this DVD on Tuesday to at least watch the first four episodes in widescreen. After that, I guess I'll be stuck watching 24 in scrambled porn like quality.

Hooray for DVD Recorders!

Unless the season 6 premiere DVD comes with a $10 coupon for the season 6 DVD coming in December, I think I'll wait until the entire season 6 set comes out.

Here in Canada, Future Shop has this DVD for $9.99 which includes a $10.00 off coupon for a previous 24 season.

Its under 10 at Walmart. I plan on selling the ticket to a friend who doesn't have all the seasons yet.

It does come with a $10 coupon good on any season of 24. Says it right on the cover (or at least my copy does)

Yes you can. I just picked it up, but if it has 2.0 it's going back and I'll look just see if I can get it on Netflix.

IF it has 2.0? Yes - it does just have 2.0, and no subtitles, no extras.

I posted that info 4 days ago...

Next week Target has 24 Season 1 for 17.99, so if I am correct then I could use this coupon and get it for 7.99? Sounds like a sale to me!

Also Circuit City is gonna sell this DVD for $9.99 next week, so with the $10 off coupon the disc will pay for itself by the time the season 6 DVD arrives in December. Not a bad deal at all.

Saw it at Target today. 2.0 and not features listed.

So you can pay the $10 now and use the coupon later, of just save the $10 till later.

I see no reason to buy this disk unless your power was out Sunday-Monday.

I'm so glad Fox put out this release. A few weeks ago I never thought I'd buy it. However my family were without power for 48 hours due to an ice storm, and we missed the first four episodes.
It's ironic, because back in June I bought season 1 as a blind buy from the DDD sale. From June-Jan my family watched all five seasons and we were all set to start watching the show weekly and then the ice storm happened. Gotta love Murphy's Law!
