A note about my list, alot will be first viewings of blind buys and almost all will be from my unwatched backlog, I probably will not make it to alot of my favorite horror films as I am hell-bent on knocking out this backlog. It also gives me a great excuse to watch all my Universal Legacy collections as I just never got around to most of those films yet. I put my goal as 70 in the other thread, but with such a busy month it will be tough - shooting for 100 - don't let the wife know.

My Goal is to reach the 100 by watching as many films for the first time as possible. I'm a huge horror fan, but I've made the mistake of watching the same films over and over again. For example I've seen the original Dracula many times but have never seen Frankenstein. I have watched the Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Halloween series over and over but have never seen a single Hellraiser. That changes this year.

Current Count: 8 Slow out of the gate, but I'm going to double my count in one day by watching all 11 Friday the 13th flicks on Friday the 13th.

October 1st:

1. Frankenstein - Finally watched this classic on the Legacy DVD.Not as good as Dracula or the novel but still a very entertaining film.

2. The Hills Have Eyes Remake - DVD, I'm a huge Wes Craven fan and this film lives up to its name sake. More disturbing than I expected.

October 2nd:

3. Silent Hill DVD, okay but could have been so much more. Too much time wasted in the middle and then too much crammed into the end.

4. Cat's Eye DVD, fun little film.

October 3rd:

5. Slither Watched Region 2 DVD, Nothing in the way of scares but lots of fun. Nathan Fillion will be a star.

October 4th:

6. 28 Days Later Another DVD I bought years ago and never watched. It didn't quite live up to the hype, but its a very good film with some excellent performances.

7. The Descent Region 2 DVD. All I can say is WOW! Do not miss this film, and go in as pure as possible. Avoid the trailers, reviews, and discussion.

October 8th

8. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning People are always complaining that recent Horror films are toned down to get the PG-13 rating, not an issue here. This one gets a G rating, Gory, Gruesome, Grotesque, Gritty,Grizzly, etc.
