Does Paramount have something against including trailers?
None of their catalog titles seem to include the trailer. As far as I can tell, they are the only studio to make a regular practice of this. I know that trailers are a relatively minor extra, but it still ticks me off.

Actually, Paramount is one of the few remaining studios that'll at least occasionally include a trailer(as well as teasers). Universal is the worst these days. I can't remember the last DVD they released(not counting reissued titles) which included the trailer. Buena Vista is another bad one too.

Yes, Paramount are a thrifty studio who, as I understand it, don't want to pay for the clearances for the music used on many of their trailers; though they have no problem still charging full prices for their DVDs. But I haven't bought a Paramount DVD in a long time, so things may have changed since the days they were releasing the Friday the 13th DVDs individually. I also think they didn't want to pay to license the original movie artwork for parts 5-8, but who knows the real story?
