Just got off of DVD Empire's live chat and apparently the studio did not send out enough copies in the initial shipment(s).
I'm told that some were received at the Empire this morning and so my copy should go out today.

As I stated previously, I ordered mine at DVD Empire. If you haven't placed an order, you still could do so there.

I'm in Canada..things take a little longer to cross the border sometimes and I'm gone next week, hence the 'now it looks like I won't get it before then' part..

Pics
Received mine today from DVDEmpire. Here are some quick pictures of the boxset. The outer box is a thick hard cardboard box and contains all of the original discs from the seperate releases minus the original slipcases.
Picture of the front of the Unsolved Mysteries boxset.
Picture of the side showing the hinged lid.
The extra disc that is packaged with the boxset. That shiny reflection isn't from the camera, but part of the coverart.

The extra disc...is that present in the 'Ultimate' edition that came out last month? I'm tempted to sell my originals and buythis boxset.

Ah, this is frustrating. I wish there was a way for those of us who already own all of the sets to pick up just the outer box. That's what I really want.q

Sorry to drag this one up from the graveyard, but just got this in today after 2 months of waiting from DDD (2 lost shipments later...)
First off, the box is beautiful. I'm a big fan. The only problem is that it's sometimes tough to close if the disks aren't lined up correctly.
The disks/cases: I love the covers, and the disks are pretty good.
The content: My only major gripe is that there seems to be a huge chunk of UM content missing. Namely "Missing Persons" which included some of the strangest stories as well as "The Unexplained" which was a much wider topic on the show than UFOs/Psychics that the set provides (though all and all they did include a lot of material from these segments, but I would have liked to see a wider variety). Finally, "Lost Loves" which I personally am glad is nowhere to be found, as it was the worst part of the show IMHO.
Extras: The extras that I've watched thus far have been pretty good. The Robert Stack tribute was touching.
General Questions/Complaints: My big question is: Why wasn't the original music used? I don't know anyone that prefers the new "Lifetime" music to the original NBC music, and since it's a remix, wouldn't royalities be similar regardless? Secondly, while the sheer number of stories per disc is impressive at a good quality, I have to say I would have liked to have seen the original Robert Stack openings to each segment as well (you know, him walking through the fog, etc).
All and all, this set is a dream come true for UM fans like myself. Aside from a few minor complaints and (in this viewers opinion) an overabudance of certain segments (Mircales for example), the set it a great value compared to the old sets and is well worth the purchase ever for casual viewers.

I got this set about a month ago but haven't had a chance to to watch any yet. But i did go through the set to check for floaters. After checking each disk i found about 5 that had some scratches. It's not that big of a problem because i have free access to a resurfacer machine. I would definately recommend checking all the disks asap.
