50 Movies. 25 Days. It's the December Holiday Movie Challenge
I enjoyed myself so much with the horror movie challenge last month. I was number 26 with only 30 movies but still it was a load of fun.
I thought perhaps we should try it again with Christmas / Holiday movies. I have lowered the list from 100 to 50 but you are still able to shoot for as many as you want. Now, with this one I know it will be much more difficult because there aren't that many Christmas / Holiday movies out there. Here are the Official Rules: Official Rules -All Movies Must Be Watched Between 12:00AM on December 1st Through the End of December 25th (a.k.a. 12:01AM on December 26th) -No Movies Will Be Accepted Before December 1st or After December 25th -You ARE ALLOWED to Watch Christmas Specials. Such as: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, The Year Without a Santa Claus, etc. -You Are NOT ALLOWED to Watch Christmas Episodes from a TV Series. However, IF the TV show has a special that runs longer than a regular episode, such as: The He-Man She-Ra Christmas Special or The Flintstones Save Christmas, Then Those Are Allowed -You ARE ALLOWED to Watch Thanksgiving or New Years Movies. Any Movie That Takes Place During the "Holiday" Season Are Allowed. -The Film DOES NOT Have to Be Holiday Oriented. You Can Watch Movies That Take Place During the "Holiday" Season. Such as: Die Hard, Batman Returns, Gremlins, Etc. -The Whole Movie or At Least Most of the Movie MUST Take Place During the "Holiday" Season. A Movie With One or Two Scenes Does NOT Count. -A Movie May Only Be Watched ONCE. However, You CAN Watch a Movie, Then Watched It Again with a Commentary and Count it TWICE -Don't Limit Yourself to DVDs. You Can Count Movies Seen in the Theater or on VHS -The Most IMPORTANT Thing is To Have Fun With This! I hope this is just as good as the horror movie challenge. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!!! Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) (~2:55PM, Started It On December 2nd) December 6th 8. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) (2:15AM) (with commentary) 9. The He-Man She-Ra Christmas Special (1985) (2:00PM) December 7th-December 9th None, These Days December 10th 10. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) (2:15PM) December 11th 11. It's a Wonderful Life (1947) (12:50PM) December 12th 12. The Santa Clause (1994) (2:00AM) 13. Elf (2003) (11:20AM) December 13th 14. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) (1:00PM) 15. A Garfield Christmas Special (1987) (1:30PM) 16. Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) (1:55PM) 17. Scrooged (1988) (2:40PM) 18. Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) (9:10PM) 19. Jingle All the Way (1996) (10:50PM) December 14th 20. A Flintstone Christmas Carol (1994) (11:00PM) December 15th 21. Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990) (12:20PM) December 16th None Today December 17th 22. Four Brothers (2005) (12:45PM) December 18th-December 20th None These Days December 21st 23. A Very Brady Christmas (1988) (7:00PM) December 22nd 24. Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983) (1:00AM) It's Getting Hard, I'm doing school work so that's eating up all my time. But, soon I shall rise from the ashes and pick up my pace!

The reason I dropped it from 100 to 50 is because I'm so sure that a lot of people have 100 holiday movies or even 50, but I love the Christmas season and I figured 50 was a pretty good number to shoot for. An average of 2 movies a day, not too bad.

I could get a few in but my total is going to be lousy. I was not that good with the horror challenge with 15 ( and I love horror ) but this one is going to be even worse.

What about movies that have a portion of the film take place during Christmas, but not the entire film, such as the HARRY POTTERs or WHEN HARRY MET SALLY?

what about shows that were traditionally shown in the holiday season, like the wizard of oz? IIRC this used to be broadcast around christmas during the 70s and 80s.
