Fox Collector DVD spine numbers

does anyone have a list of all the Fox Collector DVDs? I tried looking on Fox's website, but couldn't find a list.

I'm not sure where that list came from, but the following list was posted in one of the Predator threads last year:

1 - The Abyss
2 – Cast Away
3 - Independence Day
4 – Planet of the Apes 2001
5 – The Sound of Music
6 - Speed
7 - Die Hard
8 - French Connection
9 – Fight Club
10 – Alien
11 – Aliens
12 – Alien 3
13 – Alien Resurrection
14 – Planet of the Apes: 35 Anniversary
15 - The Commitments

The newest release of Predator should have been 16, but they made some kind of error, and it's 15 also. The rest, according to the previous link:

17 - I, Robot
18 - Man On Fire
19 - Day After Tomorrow

20: The Fly
21: The Fly II (possibly)

both coming out on 10/4/05

ETA: I've heard Fly II was going to be 21 but it appears only to be a 'special edition' like Predator 2.

I've got The Abyss, Castaway, Speed, Fight Club, Die Hard, ID4, and The Day After Tomorrow in their previously released forms. So I guess my numerical collection will never be complete

It can be complete. You just have to buy them again. Thats the fun of double-dipping.

I really doubt its worth rebuying a movie, just for a number on the spine...

Sorry for digging this old thread out.

Today I saw the two newly released Fox 2-disc CE's are assigned with new spine #'s.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith #27
Buntch Cassiday & the Sundance Kid #28

I don't recall seeing any 2-disc Fox DVDs being numbered into this series since Alien vs. Predator (#23). I'm eager to know which three CE's have been assigned to #24,25,26 respectively. Can anybody help me out? Thanks.

I had honestly forgotten that Fox still had this dumb-ass practice until I picked up Butch Cassidy today... but out of curiosity, I'd love to see a complete list.

seems strange that Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, and The Omen dont have spine numbers on them, as they seem to fit in as 2 disc SEs....

I think its Fox's Cinema Classics collection; Patton, Tora!Tora!Tora!, and The Longest Day, despite the fact they are not numbered.

All the DVD assigned with # are 2-disc "collector's edition". No 2-disc DVDs marked as "special edition" are numbered. I couldn't think of another recently released Fox 2-disc DVD called collector's edition.

No # is assigned to the following 2-disc Fox titles:

Walk the Line
The Boondock Saints
Napolian Dynamite
Patton
Tora! Tora! Tora!
The Longest Day
The Towering Inferno
The Poseiden Adventure

I suspect maybe the 3 Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals could be the candidates of #24,25,26.

The Sound of Music (40th Anni. Ed.)
Oklahoma! (50th Anni. Ed.)
State Fair (60th Anni. Ed.)

Any other suggestion, folks?

Nope... (at least, I can confirm that the new Sound of Music has no #).

It's not the re-released 2-disc versions of Speed or French Connection. They're now in the "Award Series".

Actually I believe it might be the slim 2 disc versions of Speed, MASH, and The French Connection. I looked under the new Awards gold slip cover and saw they had spine numbers. The only thing I don't know for sure is which spine numbers, but they were certainly there.

Ah, that probably answers the question. I just checked Speed (the 2-disc in the slimcase w/slipcase). It's #26.

I'm pretty sure that's what they did. I sat there looking at the cooler, slimmer cases wishing there was an easy way to trade them for my 5-Star copies. I'm not a fan of those double alpha cases.

Yep, French Connection Awards Series is #24, I got pics to prove it should anyone request it. It's on the spine of the amaray case under the slipcover. Case Solved.
