The Coen Brothers Collection 18th October 2005

well..iam surprised that no one opened a thread about it or maybe iam blind.

from dvdanswers.com:

Universal has released some early details on The Coen Brothers Collection, which includes The Big Lebowski, Blood Simple, Intolerable Cruelty and The Man Who Wasn't There. As far as we know, these will be the already available retail releases, with no additional extra material included. You'll be able to own this one from the 18th October this year, with the set retailing at around $39.98. Universal hasn't made available the artwork yet I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that very shortly. Stay tuned for that

well...i may get this one & the UK collection too which got 2 different movies that the R1 set: The Hudsucker Proxy and Barton Fink.in this way i get 6 movies of the coen brothers.

I own all of the Coens' movies, so this will be a no-go for me. I wish there was a way to pick up a box for these titles, though. Does anybody know if you'll be able to get one from Universal (through the mail) once the set has been released?

I have not seen IC, but love the other three.

Just watched Fargo last night for the fourth time.

It's just a re-pack of movies all Coen brothers fans should already have.

Already have them, but sounds like a nice set for those that don't.
