Chances are they'll release another box set after X3 so personally I'll probably just wait until then.

With Ratner at the helm of X3, I'll be happy to only own the first two. But on topic, I'd pick up an X-Men 2.5 depending on how much new material is included, although I am happy with the current release.

I double dip for directors cuts or super nice special editions (such as the anticipated upcoming Wizard Of Oz 3 disc set) of must have films for ANY collection. But when it comes to a double dip like this, I pass. Spiderman 2.5, X-Men 2.5, meh.
But what can you do? There's a release window given to most DVD titles so there's just not a good enough chance to finish all the special features the first time around. DVD's are pretty notorious for being out between 4-6 months after the theatrical releases, and companies don't want to mess with that. But hey, there are a lot of X-Men enthusiasts out there who I'm sure would be more than happy to double dip on this.

The only reason I got Xmen 1.5 was the DTS soundtrack, Xmen 2 already has a DTS soundtrack, no need to upgrade imho.

I haven't even watched any of the extras on the current set, and the picture/sound is already excellent. Pass!

Since Singer isn't involved with 'X-Men' anymore, I tend to think he wouldn't be involved in any 2.5 release ... so I can't see it being worth getting.

I don't think I want to buy the DVD of any movie that they feel the need to add a .5 to the title.

"Are you ready for more Fox DVDs?"
I make a point never to buy their first release. I rent it first and wait for the inevitable re-release or a boxset. |

I'd double dip for an 1080p version of this movie with a DTS-HD soundtrack. I could care less if they include the making of, story boards, interview with the director, cast, key grip or anything else. I just want the best picture quality, sound quality and it would be best if they included the theatre and full/unedited/director's cut.

I'll double dip if there's more footage of Kelly Hu.
