Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Creature Comforts: The Complete First Season for release on September 27th. take a glimpse into the secret lives of animals - their hopes, their dreams and their complaints - in this spin-off of the brilliant short film from Nick Park and Aardman Animation (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run). Originally aired on British television, this first American presentation will include all thirteen nine-minute episodes on a single disc. Also included will be the original Oscar-winning short. Retail is $19.94.

Great news. Can't wait. I've caught bits and pieces of a couple of times late at night on Comedy Central. I was wondering if there was a series of some sort.

BTW, Is the original Creature Comforts OOP? Even if it is, why sell? I'm not. The original has other Ardman shorts that will probably not be on the CC series disc.

i think the CC disc has been OOP for a few months at least...anyone confirm

A couple more extras for the CC disc have been announced. In addition to the short film, look for a behind-the-scenes featurette and "Favorite Bits" clip compilation.

this is NOT the same thing as the oop disc. The OOP disc was probably badly titled and should have been called something like "aardman classics" like it was in R2 or something. the oop disc called "Creature Comforts" has 4 shorts on it, one of them being the original episode of creature comforts. the other 3 shorts won't be on this new release.

So just to confirm there is no/little overlap w/ the previous DVD called creature comforts?

I think the only thing that'll be overlapped is the Original Creature Comforts short. The other 3 shorts (Adam, Not Without My Handbag & Wot's Pig) won't be on this release.
