Loved Fastlane, please release that shit.

Yeah, it's probably unlikely. I'd pick it up, though. David Garrison was great in it as well.

Three's A Crowd, it wasn't bad but it was just somewhat boring and Jack wasn't as funny as he was

Nichols (Games Garner, Stuart Margolin, Margot Kidder).....a quirky thinking mans western, Garner was great in this.

Shaft (Richard Roundtree)......yes, the TV series, shortlived, part of a revolving CBS Mystery Movie- type offering.

Banacek (George Peppard)
Hec Ramsey (Richard Boone)
Here Come The Brides
Love American Style
The New Dick Van Dyke Show

That is the one series I'm begging for. I was happy they just release Twilight Zone 80's.

I also loved Monsters. That was a fun anthology series.

I remember and would pay large dollars for a limited edition set (which would probably be the only way it would see a release)....sigh.

For every classic, well liked or at least cult show, there are 9 others that have completely fallen into obscurity and will never be seen again.

And this is one of those shows. I still can't believe that someone actually thought to make a small press b&w comic into a prime time tv show.
Much like BUCKY O'HARE or XENOZOIC TALES a.k.a. CADILLACS & DINOSAURS.

I thought I had read somewhere that this was going to be released. Seems to me it was a legit statement from someone who was reliable.

Back in September tvshowsondvd reported that Paramount would be releasing Family Ties S1 in the first half of this year. Obviously, that won't happen...but has anyone heard anything else about Family Ties?

on a side note does anyone remember that series on sci fi with a black and white detective and they were fighting demons and stuff... that was pretty good.

Banacek was great! Kind of like a cocky Columbo. Decent writing and acting in those. Would definitely purchase them.

I second (or actually third) American Gothic. Sam Raimi seems too busy nowadays...

I'm suprised nobody mentioned Cupid, starring Jeremy Piven. It was a smart (and very well written) show...

Brisco County, Jr. (although I've heard Bruce Campbell has been recording commentary tracks if this is true).

Future seasons of The Larry Sanders Show

Early Edition (the first few seasons were pretty good, I thought).

Anything by Ken Finkleman (besides The Newsroom).

Somebody mentioned the U.S. version of The Office. I just read in some trade mag that it'll be released sometime this summer...

Before I became hopelessly addicted to DVD collecting, I was a CD Soundtrack Collector. There are several companies which release fully authorized and licensed limited edition CDs for both films and TV series with the total runs usually between 1500 to 5000 copies made.

Naturally, the cost of these CDs are usually around $30 or so to justify the production, but they usually sell out immediately (or in the worst case within a few months or so). There are hundreds of shows I would pay a larger than normal price for if a limited edition release were available.

For example, the aforementioned WIZARDS AND WARRIORS had 8 episodes and if put in a regular DVD release, something like that would probably retail for about $30-35, right? I would easily pay a retail of $50-55 were it a limited edition release. Is it a safe assumption many here would do the same?

I wonder why no DVD production companies have thought of doing this?

Another one that occurs to me is the controversial Freddy's Nightmares. Although, I suppose there actually may be a chance of it's release some day.

Remember this thread? I'm excited to find that many of the hotlinked pics are still there. Many of these shows are now out.
