BUMP: OK, I can now answer this, if any other Mann fans are interested. The UK disc of Thief is the theatrical cut. The end scene doesn't look strangely out of sych like I remember the director's cut looking (on VHS). The image is overall very dark, grainy, with edge halos, sometimes cloudy, dull, faded colors. Poor; obviously taken from an old master, probably 20 years old. Occasionally detailed image, and the night scenes tend to look good. Sound is stereo, sounds like 1981. I don't mind the grungy image, as to me it works (to some extent) with the film's atmosphere. So, if you are a Mann purist like I am, this is worth it, as we may never see a Region 1 release of the theatrical cut. There are no extras other than the cinema trailer.

Is this a different movie than the one with Elisha Cuthbert and Emile Hirsch? Because that one has been available on DVD in an unrated version since it came out back in 2004.....the 9/1 date is just for the upcoming Blu-ray release...
Another movie you can add to the list is the upcoming "extended/director's cut" of Friday, coming out on 9/8....

I wouldn't call Clerks a DC, Its technically "The First Cut". Also Boat Trip is R and UR, not R and PG-13.
