I wonder if the great commentary track from the Ultimate Oz laserdisc will finally find its way onto this DVD set?

I agree that I hope this is just a preliminary list of stuff for Kong.

that would be great...more commentary tracks on this stuff the better. Just wish they would set these in stone.

The Wizard of Oz: Two-Disc Special Edition October 2005
Special Features are scheduled to include:
*New documentary on the phenomenon of Oz and its impact around the world
*Making-of documentary hosted by Angela Lansbury
*Oz composer Harold Arlen’s home movies
*Musical outtakes including the Jitterbug dance
*Filmographies, story boards, costumes, and makeup tests
*New, graduated trivia game
*Feature-length sing-a-long
I'm sure "Oz" will include more extras than this somehow - remember it just says "Set to include" so there could be more. These dont seem very impressive extras especially for 2 discs.
I've never owned "Oz" on DVD BTW, kept wondering whether to buy the current R2 release.

There has been talk that this will actually be a three disc set (which would make sense).

I heard that as well, why would it make "more sense" for it to be 3 discs though?

If Gone With the Wind could get two discs of extras, then surely The Wizard of Oz could get two discs of extras.

*New, graduated trivia game
Now that sounds good. Too many trivia games are dropping out of school these days.
