For a good World War II movie from the German perspective, I would recommend Stalingrad. Also, a pretty good German horror movie would be Anatomy.

"Der Totmacher" is very different from the usual serial killer movies. I liked it a lot. Similar to this is a movie called "Nachts, wenn der Teufel kam" ("The Devil Strikes at Night" - don't know if this is the correct English title, there are several listed in the IMDB), but the only DVD I know of is the German RC2 PAL.

I also thought Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary was a pretty interesting doc.
