I think he means the combo pack that comes with all three of the LOTR extended editions.

Even so it would seem strange for it to go out of print so soon. Granted, it is a large package that would take up shelf space in stores, and i can see how it may not sell many copies following the holiday season.

I'm surprised to see Shoah go OOP so quickly... it's only been out for about a year. I'd hate to see what prices this will start fetching on eBay. The MSRP was already pretty obscene as it is...

My sentiments exactly. I wanted to acquire this title during the recent DDD 20% off sale, but it didn't show up on their website. Apparently a couple of people were able to order it during the first day or two of the sale.

There seems to be quite abit of confusion over the status of Shoah.... Various online sources indicate it is "discontinued", including a major supplier that has close to 1800 copies in stock.

I did recieve some e-mail from someone who says that New Yorker Films stated this morning that Shoah is not Out of Print..... Based on this information, I have removed it from the list as OOP....

Does anyone know the status on The Killer and Hard Boiled? Of course the Criterion is long OOP, but the Fox Lorber editions seem to not be available new that I can find. Are they OOP too?

All Region 1 releases are OOP. There are some "sanely" priced used copies of the Fox Lorber versions at Amazon.

all the anime is getting pioneer signaure series rereleases.....all this means is you pay ten bucks less to have them put a big red banner at the top of the artwork.

The 3 pack of seasons 1-3 are OOP, not the individual seasons.

That's the kind of thing that makes this whole thing so confusing.

Another example: I went to michael's site and did a search of movies that had been updated recently and were OOP. In the list, I saw the Naked Gun movies. I thought WTF! But when I did a search by title, I saw that the versions that went OOP were ones that didn't have an anti-shoplifting tag. Version with the tags (sensormatic or checkpoint) are still out.

Keeping track of it all is enough to drive a person insane.
