The shocking killing of a Park Avenue society beauty in her apartment brings Detective Mark McPherson (Dana Andrews) to New York’s most elegant neighborhood. Steeped in suspense, heightened reality and witty sophistication, Laura leads to a shocking climax.

I only that Nightmare Alley were in the first wave. That's the one I want most next to Laura.

Wow. There's some great stuff. I'm thrilled about this noir series. I saw Nightmare Alley about twenty years ago on TV, and I'll finally be able to add it to my collection.

Pics provided by amazon....just to cite the source...but i don't see the problem with passing material around the internet that is not copyrighted by that site....fox owns the picture, and if fox wants it down i will take it down. Its the same as any news program reporting video or text from another network...and the watermark shows exactly where it came from....

at the same time i do not wish to turn this thread into a ethics debate...the topic is fox film noir...please enjoy it

Any words yet when Fox will release these on the next wave.

Kiss of Death (1947) - Still my favorite of film-noir.

Cry of the City (1948) - Another favorite of mine.

Boomerang! (1947) - Excellent court room drama as a D.A. tried to prove a man innocent of killing a local priest.

Hangover Square? WOW!!! Are you kidding me? This never even got a VHS release! It has been one of my favorite little-known films for decades! Principally because Bernard Herrmann composed a piano concerto for the finale that is one of his finest works. Otherwise, it's a great little psychological thriller, with one of the very few screen appearances of Laird Cregar, who died quite young. I believe this was his only 'star' turn. Thanks for this great news! I can't wait!

Don't count on it: this looks to be in the same vein as the Fox Studio Classics collection, so unless they do a special box with the first few ones with a complementary exclusive film added in (à la SUNRISE), the odds are low.

Hmm, I don't like the marketing of these. Nice titles but $20 a pop (here in Canada) and a staggared release certainly isn't as amazing as the Warner Noir collection at it's low price and box set. I was hoping this would be a similar release.

Same set up as the studio classics...a few releases every few months. Makes life easier on the wallet. Boxes would be nice, but i doubt it will happen. I think the reason not as many bought the Universal Noir titles released around the same time as the warner set was because it was not pre packed together.

Don't skip these on account of a cardboard sleeve. As for price range...order early and save. Updates soon

If DVDSoon.com has another $6.66 sale in November, it might be better to wait.

Nice. Very nice.

I'll be purchasing at least half of these titles - and maybe all of them eventually.
