Who will be the first to share the love for new amazon holiday criterion giftset?

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...l/-/B0006A05RM

Amazon has a new exclusive holiday giftset coming in november. Specifications are slim but it has 208 discs. Anybody know anything more about it?

I wonder what, exactly, the specs are for this set? It doesn't list it on Amazon. I wonder if any of the OOPs will be included.

Doubtful it'll be any OOP discs. Probably some of their "slow movers" that have been sitting around the warehouse.

I found out you can save an extra $82 with the A9 search discount! I'm sure it will be a big seller for everyone having an extra $5,000 laying around to spend on DVDs. I expect in the next few days my Amazon STL page will be loaded from people who purchased it.

Funny thing is, there actually are 3 people requesting love for this in the DVD Talk STL System. No sale from me until they release some additional info, of course.

I wonder if it comes with a little inflatable shelter for everyone who'll get kicked out of their apartments because they spent 5 G's on a big box of DVDs. Because you wouldn't want all those Criterions to get wet, you know.

It averages out to about $25 per disc, unless there are some 2-disc sets in there...

I want to get it for the cool box!!!

Seriously, anyone who has that kind of change to drop on the set, and would be interested in Criterions, probably already has quite a few of the Criterions.

I could sell the 100 or so criterions I have and make a nice down payment on this baby. I'll have to see how sweet it is. Including the box.

What "box"? The previous "amazon exclusive" Criteron set:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...177144-2251224

was just the individual titles shipped together. I don't think this'll have any special packaging... especially for 200+ titles. They'll just ship 'em all at the same time.

Amazon is lame. Put a bunch of Criterions together and charge more for them than if you were to buy them separately.

About $24 a DVD. And these are most likely not worth that amount. Better to take your $5000 and wait for a Deep Discount DVD 20% off during Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Sweet Fancy Moses!

You have to love that it costs $5,250.00, comes out in less than ten days, and there no fucking indication as to what you're actually getting other than "unrated" and "208 discs".

Mortage your house now to buy this, before the price goes up to $6,750.00 on release day!
