Commentary on "Private School...for Girls" DVD?

I saw on Amazon.com that the cheesy teen flick "Private School...for Girls" is due to hit the streets on Nov. 23, 2004. Has anyone heard if there will be a commentary included on the disk? I was pleasantly surprised with Anchor Bay's release of teen slasher "Cheerleader Camp" (another Betsy Russell feature) that was released in August: widescreen format, a commentary, and a nice video treatment (the director & producer noted on the commentary that color balance was probably even better on the DVD than in the theatres).

Also, I have seen two different cuts of "Private School" on TV and VHS over the years. Originally there was a full one with longer cuts of key scenes, but then the latest VHS (and subsequent TV airings) have had a shorter version. Anyone else aware of this difference and if the full cut will be put on the DVD?

With only five days to go, Amazon.com is still showing the release date for this DVD as November 23, 2004. There have been some rumors of this DVD being delayed beyond this date; does anyone know if it will really hit the shelves on Tuesday?

I'm going to keep my eye out for it and hope for the best, just in case (not really counting on finding it though )

The link is gone from Amazon now, but my order with the DVD has yet to be canceled.

I also heard from an EBay seller that this title was listed as having being shipped so there may be some copies which get out there.

That's bizarre. The link and info was still there at Amazon within minutes of my post yesterday--and now today, Poof!

Any info as to whether this is going to be released soon? Was it cancelled or delayed due to licensing issues?

I was definitely very excited about getting Private School on dvd.

there is a apperent lawsuit between the producers and mca regarding this title that caused the DVD to be cancelled, and not the music issue.

I can not believe this movie is being held up. I was looking forward to watching Betsy Russell's horse back riding skills again. She looks damb good in that movie.

In addition to the Betsy Russell topless equestrian scene, I was also greatly anticipating viewing the scene where she gets her towel yanked away in DVD quality.

In addition to seeing Betsy Russell on horseback AND in the towel yanked scene, I was looking forward to her peeling away her clothes for the back rub in her dorm room and ultimately pulling down her black p****** and wriggling her a** teasingly... Hopefully the DVD (whenever it hits the shelves) will include the now rare uncut version.

So any news about this ever coming out. I would have hoped that the parties holding this film from being released would have worked something out by now. They could have had my money in their pocket. Is this a licensing issue or what? Anyone have the story of what exactly is going on?
