What are the rarest/most valuable DVD's?

I've searched the net for many fruitless months in an answer to this one, but I think I've finally found the oracle to qwell my qwery. What are the most valuable/most rare DVDS? I frequent many flea markets and used DVD stores, and I'd hate to pass a diamond in the rough. A rough list, with approximate values would be great, or a point to a link that would list would be even better. I'm a full on DVD junkie now, and I know the out of print criterion's are quite pricey and hard to find, and I was wondering what else might be on this list. The only non-criterion rarity I've found is "A View to a Kill", currently, suprisingly out of print, given the bulk of Bond pictures availble.

Also original Disney classics that are oop like Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians (animated), and the Little Mermaid.

Yeah!! So when the heck did that happen???

Looks like a pretty crummy Criterion though (no extras that I can see). Any reason to get it instead of waiting for the MGM release?

Heh, I have long since given up such aspirations... but I do still get them as they go oop.

I just may have to see if I can't track a copy down. Is it at least anamorphic?

It probably isn't. But Nature Boy, besides being a newbie, is obviously looking for, a bargain while he's out slummin' through the flea markets and pawn shops.

Nature Boy, maybe this would be better to post in DVDTalk, since the bargain forum is more for links to known bargains.

I think that DVD that is hardest to get would be the THX Trailer disc that LucasFilms put out at a tradeshow that that the Simpsons on it.

I've got mine, and it is definitely my pride and joy of the collection...

In regards to Pasolini didn't Image release "The Decameron", "Canterbury Tales" and "Arabian Nights" on DVD. My fingers are crossed that MGM release the latter two since they just rereleased "The Decameron" last December.

I recently sold my 400 Blows CC on Ebay for over 250. I like the movie, but it's going to be rereleased this year so buyer beware.

Are the following CC discs worth any more than retail?:
Sid and Nancy
Beastie Boys
Picnic at Hanging Rock

Sid & Nancy sells for anywhere from 40 to 60 on eBay.

The other two are both still in print and available, so no, not worth more than retail.

Speaking of Pasolini, The Gospel According the St. Matthew is extremely difficult to get -- it was released for like 2 months, then pulled. I've been trying to get it for a couple years now.
