Agreed, Honestly unless you have the product in hand or can see it for yourself on release day then any information you find early on, whether from a reliable source or not should be subject to change.

I saw the advertisements for it at my local store in the mall and I see the pre order up on the fye website tagged as a steelbook. Any current info I am missing out on? IMO I hope it turns out to be just one version cause it would be tough for me to decide between the joker and batman covers.

Well, the Dark Knight steelbook was announced as a TWEC exclusive ages ago. Then someone posted the rumor that there would be three different covers. Now it appears that that is not the case.

exactly. in that case, those that made the TDK speculation are guilty of misinformation far worse than Willo, who's simply reporting what was announced elsewhere. what -- certain board members can make mistakes while others aren't allowed to? get over yourself. and as others have mentioned, this is all info that isn't going to make or break anybody at this point so why chew out somebody over it?

in any event, i noticed this morning that the Dr. Who S4 steelbook was mis-stickered at Bestbuy at $38.73, even though it rang up & is advertised as $69.99. got it adjusted at the CSR desk.

Thats the problem right there, in a nutshell.
Personally I welcome any and all info, whether it is speculation from employees or officially announced info. I learned long ago that I will believe it when I see it sitting on a store shelf.

Give it a rest already. I know that you already know the story on this. It was one person sharing information they got from their FYE store. It was posted in the original announcement that for others to check and confirm this information, and it has not been confirmed elsewhere. It looks like there will only be one cover, Batman on the Batpod, with the Joker on the back cover. It was never posted initially as definitive information, and if it spread all over the net, then it was because most of us get too excited when a good movie gets a SteelBook, let alone the possibility of 3 different covers.

I'm very conflicted. I love store exclusives, I love steelbooks, and I know this will probably be sold out by Tuesday afternoon, but on the other hand...

Hancock really sucked, even when I tried to watch it for the second time on the computer. So I'm not sure if I want to rush out to get a movie I thought so little of for a cool-looking case.
