possibly...but they're missing out...hell, Max Payne wouldve been awesome as a steelbook. (havent seen the movie, but it wouldve looked cool)

i'm hoping for a Punisher: War Zone steelbook.

so far the only releases we know of are the massive amounts of First Looks, plus the amazon.com exclusive Bond blu rays.

Here's something to cause a stir.

Yesterday, the local Best Buy had tons of copies of the steelbooks of

All Die Hards
The Departed
The Bourne Ultimatum
X-Men 1.5 and 2
Man On Fire
Planet Terror
Death Proof
Platoon

Today I go in to buy some and none were to be found. Was gonna pick up some for trades and what not for some of you. I asked one of the sales clerks and he said that they were ordered to pull all of them. He couldn't give me a reason why. Anyone have any kind of explanation?

I did find one copy of The Departed stuck behind a bunch of copies of Incredible Hulk. Picked it up since I had been meaning to.

aw, damn, the back to the futures would have been great as R1 releases (or one release with all three films like the one from R2)

You can see under the Special Features Tab that they are labeled Special Packaging.

You can also compare the UPC from other sites that label them as SteelBooks to find them off DeepDiscount since they don't have them all labeled as such.

I'm actually kind of relieved. As someone else said about their wallet, it was getting to be kind of tiring rushing to Best Buy of FYE early in the morning, sifting through hundreds of copies to get the perfect one.

I agree, Max Payne would have been an awesome choice, and I definitely would have picked it up. I'm hoping/expecting steelbooks for:

Quantum of Solace
Wolverine
Terminator: Salvation
Transformers 2

Looking ahead, those would be nice.

just get the R2 BttF and wait for the R1 UE and then swap. that is what i am doing to have a premuim R1 BttF SteelBook.

I was in a Best Buy today and they had ELEVEN copies of the steelbook version of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They also had a bunch of Bourne Ultimatum (but they all do), and they even had two steelbooks of Death Proof.

although its hard to tell what stores are okay in this economic climate, i dont believe there has been any definitive news about fye going under. yet, at least.

true a bunch of em have been closing recently, but it seems fye has been closing stores for years now

It is CONFIRMED from the Bestbuy.com Website that the Paris Je T'Aime SKU 9053766 for $4.99 is the SteelBook™ version, unless a standard version has been released with the same SKU. I compared the SKU from the website to a previous receipt. It is also advertised in this week's Best Buy USA ad.

Went to my local best buy and they had 4 to choose from. Surprisingly they were all in good shape. Picked one and made out with a great deal on a steelbook.

Went to three targets in NY today and they did not carry A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (Steelbook Edition) that was released today. I thought it was strange since they have carried all of the other ones from First Look Studios...

For some odd reason Target also did not carried the "Strays" steelbook.

No Best Buy in Wisconsin had the Guide to Recognizing Your Saints steelbook available in the stores. Online only.

Had to ordered mine through Amazon's market place.
