yep. this has been available for preorder on DVDempire and Amazon for a few months now. i look forward to getting this as i've heard good things about it.

I can't really say why the Grindhouse SteelBooks are priced differently, but they have been priced like that for awhile now. Out of the two films, I would have figured Planet Terror was a better film and would have the higher price.

If you are interested in trading for some, shoot me a pm. I'm looking for a few SteelBooks as replacements for some that I have that are not as mint as I like.

Could somebody please post links to the Deep Discount listings (or another site's listing if it's cheaper) for the Steelbooks of Paris Je T'Aime and The Contract? I tried ordering them through Deep Discount, but none of thier listings specify that they are the Steelbook version, and they sent me the regular versions. I returned those, but I'd still like to order the Steelbooks.

Deepdiscount's listings specify if it's steelbook. If they don't say steelbook, then it's not. It's 14.99 at bestbuy.

Actually, I've seen (and ordered) plenty of times when their site didn't specify that it was the steelbook. I just matched it up through release date. And which one is $14.99 ar BB?

I've seen Paris for 14.99 at bestbuy. Also, I'd guess that the one on the bestbuy.com, the "limited edition" Paris, is prolly the steelbook, as it matches up in price with the ones in the store (14.99). I got my Paris through Deepdiscount back when it first came out. At that time it said "steelbook." So, I dunno. At this time, I only see 3 mentioned steelbooks on their site (Would seem they dont sell certain ones anymore). Contract steelbook is 13.49 on Amazon.com. Paris steelbook is 17.99 on Amazon.com. You can double them up and get free shipping.
Overstock.com has contract steelbook for 11.12 and Paris for 16.19. Although at overstock, the picture for Paris steelbook is wrong. And they still advertise Robocop steelbook, which I have tried to purchase there and it ALWAYS comes as regular case.

and

Contract, The (Steelbook) for $10.94

$25.53 Total, Standard shipping should be free.. dunno about tax or not.

Looks like forum changes the links to include the Partner ID number.

i think its rareness is a matter of opinion...i'd say its definately a hard one to find at a good price.

nope...all i gave up was a brand new sealed copy of Sweeney Todd Steelbook...so with the shipping, I only paid about $40 for it

to be honest scott, i was actually worried that i was going to get shafted haha. the dude was real cool about it too. he was shocked when he heard how much it normally goes for and wasn't looking for mad loads of cash. he wanted Sweeney or Underworld, and i could only get my hands on Sweeney
