It's the exact same cover as the standard 2-disc edition! This is a very frustrating trend.

So many incredible possibilities for "The Dark Knight" and it seems it's going to be the same picture as the standard version. "Hancock" appears that it's going to be the same cover as the standard version. And from what I've read/seen, the new "Indiana Jones" movie is the exact same cover as the regular version, except one has a border. What's so great about SteelBooks is that the cover is often an iconic image that represents the film so well, or just a cool design that usually wouldn't be used as a cover. This new trend is very weak.

I agree.. It seems like they are starting to treat steelbook editions as any other edition. multiple releases of the same title in the same country is evidence of that. Transformers has two different steelbook editions in germany for example.. and grease has 2 steelbook editions in spain (one is a single disc and the other is a double disc edition.)

And yes, the artwork being used for the covers is becoming less inspiring. It makes it difficult to distinguish one edition from another. A bit lazy i think.

Any word if Canada (I guess Futureshop specifically) will get the Dark Knight Steelbook? I sure hope so!

Yes. If you look at the pictures posted by snausages and look at the Future Shop website, they are the same.

it was the night that i posted if that helps and it was when he has something and then also has something similar looking that makes fun of the first thing. Ex. justin timberlake-sexy back and then robin williams - harry back. hope this helps.

$17.99 after MIR is awesome. glad to see not only are TWEC getting these exclusive steelbooks, but after all is said and done, we're getting them at BETTER prices than buying the standard 2-disc editions at other retailers.

I agree that we always seem to get a great deal with the Steelbooks at TWEC, but I was alittle disappointed with the artwork design of INDY 4. I mean Iron Man was really cool. I can even give high props to Cloverfield , but the Indy steelbook just didn't grab me this time. I'm still going to get it, but I figure I wait till the end of the week. They had over 30 copies just sitting there. Now, I did get the Target Exclusive Edition of Indy on Bluray. That was a great design with the artbook. I highly recommend it.

Where did you get the $2 off coupon? this is my third time buying a steelbook from FYE and I never heard of a $2 off coupon.

Thanks.

I dont know how long it will last but it seems starting this week whenever you pre-order at FYE an added incentive of the $2 off coupon

I only go for the Bestbuy Giftset and Steelbooks (awaiting shipment of the Blu Ray)

I picked up the Indy 4 SteelBook today @ my local Suncoast earlier today. The 3 variants of Sukiyaki Western Django SteelBooks are now available for pre-ordering. According to the pre-order sheets, it appears that these SteelBooks will be $14.99 each.

I broused a couple of other boards, Can anyone confirm these or just shoot these lies down:

"Incredible Hulk" Steelbook @ FYE on 10/21/08
"Hellboy II" Steelbook @ FYE on 11/11/08
"Tropic Thunder" Steelbook @ FYE on 11/18/08
"WANTED" Steelbook @ FYE on 12/02/08

I should know better, but the lies keep poping-up!

I don't think FYE will have a steelbook for Hulk or Wanted. Both movies are listed as having a free poster with reservation. As far as I've seen from TWEC, movies only have one "exclusive" so if they're already offering a poster, I don't think they'll offer a steelbook as well. I could be wrong though... but with Hulk coming out in a week and no mention of a steelbook in their system, I would say the possibility looks slim.

So I saw the Indy 4 FYE Steelbook up close and personal today and decided to just hold off on it. I'll grab it eventually... but the Target exclusive Blu-ray was just way too nice to pass up.
