yes, you are incorrect sir. while "The Godfather" Collection certainly is a great release, it is not nearly as grand or better yet important to the lexicon of American culture as the other i am referring to, especially this week!

I picked up The Godfather steelbook today. Beautiful set. I was very surprised that there was a $10 mail-in rebate, which made the deal outstanding. I didn't pick up the Yankee steelbook due to lack of funds. Hopefully it will still be available when my birthday comes around in November. I did, however, pre-order Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight because I couldn't help myself.

Uh, . . . yes and yes. It is BOTH a Futureshop Exclusive AND a TWEC (FYE, Wherehouse Music, etc.) Exclusive. The TWEC stores have it priced either $44.99 or $49.99, with a $10.00 mail-in rebate. Futureshop has it priced at $49.99.

I got The Godfather Steelbook from FYE today and just noticed the new 2008 bonus material are on disc 4 and the bonus material from the 2001 set are on disc five. But on the back of the case it says disc 4 has the original supplements, disc 5 All-New material even on the disc it states the same. I wonder if this is a goof by Paramount. For those of you who brought the new trilogy today did you get it the same way? Thanks

With my set the 2001 bonus material is on disc four and the 2008 bonus material is on disc five. I don't know what happened that yours is different.

Ok guys...dunno if this is new info or not. But I was at FYE and confirmed for a Dec. 9 release. Here is the posterboard advertising the release date and steelbook packaging:

So it seems like one of these two will be the cover? Perhaps two covers? I saw the lovely steelbook curved corners on both the poster photos, but no confirmation from any FYE employees yet. Maybe we will get two covers to choose from? I am very excited!!! Or maybe just the front/back cover. Oh so many guesses...so few answers.

Whoops, my mistake. I checked the disc and mine is screwed up the same as yours. I just went by what it said on the disc, but now that I checked it.....sorry.
