I don't know if the Mods will like it if I link to a competitor's site. I'll send you a PM.

Been following this thread for a few months and I'm very impressed by people's collections. Here are some pictures of my mine:

R1 Steelbooks (except for 'silent Hill' which was in the pic by mistake)

R1 Tins

R2 tins/steelbooks

R3 tins (Ezydvd)

Only one missing from these pics is Boondock Saints which I was able to pick up yesterday.

I was lucky to stumble onto the novelty of Steelbooks when they were first being released in Canada (hence the copies of Narnia, X3, Underworld and POTC2). I would never have thought that they would be so valued years later.

Thanks howwon

Now to call up some friends in the US to scour f.y.e. tomorrow to find Sweeney Todd. Is Cloverfield confirmed to not be available in Canada ?

lol scott yesh it is in the old thread. but its under "The Quiet Earth", as opposed to "Quiet Earth, The". maybe thats where some of the confusion occurred meh.

Thanks Kory

Question: Why is the X3 steelbook so rare ? ... I remember that when I went to Futureshop on release week, there were many copies. even 3-4 weeks later, there will still many shelves stacked with them at various stores.

I think it was due to the fact that they were trying to charge 29.99 for a one-disc movie whereas the regular edition was almost $10 cheaper (for the same disc). If I wasn't a collector, I would have most likely skipped the steelbook.

So I went to Suncoast today to pick up the Sweeney Todd Steelbook and they didn't have a single one. Keep in mind this is noon on release day. Is anyone else having a problem finding one?

no I reserved it a few weeks ago at FYE. There was probably 2-3 on the shelf. Still some Beowulf. So I'm guessing it's rarer.

I picked up my copy and a copy for a couple other people today that I had reserved, so three total. They only had one on the shelf, and a handful behind the counter. I assume they must have had more somewhere, but maybe not.

The back of the case and the inside are both really cool. They make up for the mediocre front cover. The discs are gray though...

I reserved mine on a whim since I was able to pick up the Transformers and Beowulf steelbooks without a reserve (granted I got the very last Transformers steelbook that day and it was only about 12:15pm).

When I got to FYE to pick up my reserved Sweeney Todd, they had nothing left on the shelves. The lady who helped me said they flew out of the store faster than any of the others that she could recall.

So... this one may be tough to come across...

That is not the correct version. It should be this version of which is $24.99.

I also got Sweeney Todd today at my local FYE. I had reserved one, but there were still a couple on the shelf.
