Hi. Got back from my stateside trip.. Maybe 10,000 BC wasn't very popular in the Fye of the area, but at least 8 or 9 of them were on the shelves.. I thought long and had about picking it up, but decided to go for the Bestbuy 3 disc version..

Speaking of which, are there actually delays in it arriving? I'm not sure how accurate the in online stock indicator is, but 2/3 Bestbuys in my area don't list it in stock..

I also saw the Appleseed with figure on my trip, but already had it and the bubble was a bit damaged.. I don't know if people in the anime forum would know better, but is the gun clip and bullets removal? They were loose inside this one I saw..

The first BB Canada that I went to, did not receive their inventory and I was told that the movie was delayed and no ETA was given to them. I went to another store in the evening and they had them in stock.

YMMV.

I don't know if it is delayed, but it is listed as sold out online.

Yesterday the three stores in Ottawa were listed as "Information not available" for stock info for the 3 disc set online, but the one is east Ottawa definitely had them in stock (had about 20 last time I was there), and the others probably had it in stock as well.

Future Shop's version is not listed as a Steelbook. You have to read the description to find out that it is a Steelbook:

This exclusive edition includes a steelbook packaging with special cover art.

Hi. It was the FYE in Bellingham, WA.. I think I remember seeing a $39.99 regular price sticker, but I think there was another red sticker on it..

Why? Can you request TWEC stores to bring in items from other stores? If so, there were a couple of other TWEC exlusive bonus discs that I won't mind seeing if they can order in..

My connection in Canada might not be able to get to a Best Buy still this weekend to pick a copy of 10,000 BC 3-disc. Did they have plenty in stock or do I have to maybe beg someone here to get it for me? Thanks

i dunno about getting from other stores. pretty weird that FYE still has these considering they are deemed "rare".

This reminds me of the Best Buy USA problems with the Appleseed: Ex Machina w/ Exclusive Manga Comic Book, back in March.

This is obviously a distribution problem.

There is only one color out and that is the "bronze-ish color" (or the 1988 briareos color) came out

The one shared by WTK (the Amazon pic or the 2004 briareos color), is the prototype art/color figure released by Geneon prior to street date.

Scott, if the packaging and figure inside were not damaged.. go get it!..

Its like 200 perfect releases against the remainder 7,800

perhaps, xage has more insight into my questions re: Appleseed with figure....

just not sure if worth getting since i have the SteelBook already, but for cache value maybe...

I haven't seen this one in any B&M store before.

Love the "American Gangster" SteelBook but those ratings logos kill it for me.

My Steelbook Collection so far.

Okay, Ram called me out, so I had to break them all out and finally get some photos of my collection. 34 are Region 1, and 2 are Region 2.

My first 2 Region 2 Steelbooks:

Thanks for that, but I'm sure there are others with a lot more than me.

Thank Ram also for finally giving me the motivation I needed to get my lazy ass off the couch and take some photos.

All of you had motivated me to take a pic of my collection too. I will have to take another one when I get a few ones I'm waiting on in

how are there only 200 good ones out there? the others are just really damaged on the inside? how can you even tell the figure is damaged from the outside?

For anyone curious of the Indiana Jones Region 3 steelbook that is the only one labeled as "The Trilogy" instead of "The Adventure Collection," (as Xage pointed out) here is a link to extensive photos:

http://www.listal.com/dvd/indiana-jones-trilogy-226234

In case you are wondering, the sticker on the front does come off.

Xage, in case you you need any listing info for your database, I have added it to dvdspot.com
