I can trade Jungle Book and Ratatouille for Sweeney Todd and Cloverfield.

Both are new and sealed. Prestine condition and I can ship tonight, if you let me know ASAP.
Steelbooks will be bubble wrapped and shipped in a cardboard box to prevent any shipping damage.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Nice pics Kory.. I'm about the same.. I won't go out of my way to get a steelbook for a movie I have no interest in seeing.. But it might push me to get a movie I'm on the fence about.. I need to get my collection together and get some pics oneday..

Nice score junyab.. Was it sealed with the comic book? I can't remember how wide spread the problem was, but when I got mine, there was a large "S" shaped scratch to the back.. I think someone from steelbook(tm) said it was a replicator problem, but I'm not sure how many X-men 3 steelbook were affected..

Looks like the fad for X3 fades slowly now as the crown jewel of the steelbook collectibility world and just turn into a norma one.

As more & more members (Canadians?) shows up obtaining and showing up X3 steelbook of their own and letting all know that its not just ebay or amazon you can get one.

I think that The Chronicles of Narnia could be grouped in with the following:

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
The Little Mermaid
V for Vendetta

The Chronicles of Narnia has come up for auction three times. The last time, it sold within minutes of its listing, for $129.99.

The Little Mermaid has come up for auction once, that I know of, and it sold in the $200+ range.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown sold in the last auction for $104.19

V for Vendetta has come up for auction a few times. The last time it sold for $202.19

X-Men 3: The Last Stand recently sold for $250.01.

I think that X-Men 3 is still sought after, as xage last post shows that, of all of the people that have posted here, only seven people have posted confirmation of ownership. Other people on other Steelbook forums are also searching for the X-Men 3 Steelbook. V For Vendetta appears to be a close second.

junyab, you can try WD-40 to remove the price sticker. Use a soft clean cloth to gently rub off the sticker. Once the sticker is removed, you will still have to remove the WD-40 residue. Warm soap and water should work.

unfortunately nope, no comic attached...but luckily no scratches where the "s" shaped glue was...

will remember that trick...this time the sticker came off easily and didn't leave any residue behind...I usually use Goo Gone which also works like a charm!

I've owned the Narnia and Ice Age 2 Steelies...times got tough a couple of months ago (meaning there were too many new releases coming out for me to afford) so I sold most of my rarer ones on Ebay...got $80 for Ice Age and $125 for Narnia

I'd still think X3 is the rarest as it was the 1st steelbook released in North America (I think)...and with the comic book problem and only 1-disc f up...I think a lot of the stock was taken off the shelf and destroyed (so a Future Shop employee told me)...it may not seem so rare here, but Id still bet it has the lowest #'s

Cars, Little Mermaid & Ice Age were most likely bought by nice mommies who don't visit the internet DVD forums very often

X-Men 3 was released on October 3, 2006.
The first R1 Steelbook was Appleseed and it was released on May 10, 2005.

I'm going to call BS here. This employee does not know what he is talking about. I challenge him to provide evidence of this.

PMed you, howwon.

Also, I forgot that there are a couple non-R1 Steelbooks I'm interested in.
-"12 Monkeys"
-"Smokin' Aces"
-"Batman Begins" (I heard there are two versions, one that's entirely English, one that's not... I'd prefer the English one)
-"Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer" (I've seen pictures of this one on eBay... it's the black cover with the Silver Surfer on it that was on our standard 2-disc release)
-"Transformers" 2-sided edition

Johnsun: That's so weird to read that, I thought the guy I bought mine from was just an idiot, but I have that same "S" problem. It's not terrible and at the right angle, you can't even see it, but it's there. I'm now wondering if there's some way to maybe buff that out or fill it in. Any ideas?

I should have been more specific...the first exclusive R1...Appleseed wasn't exclusive, right?

and I'm only relaying what I an employee said...bs or not...the release was a total f up!

The first exclusive (Future Shop) R1 Steelbook was The Chronicles of Narnia, that was released on April 4, 2006. It beat out X-Men 3 by about six months.

junyab's post got me thinking about the early Future Shop exclusive Steelbook releases. Below is a list of the first ten exclusive releases from Future Shop and their release date.

1. The Chronicles of Narnia - April 4, 2006
2. Underworld: Evolution - June 6, 2006
3. V for Vendetta - August 1, 2006
4. Canada Russia 72' - October 3, 2006
5. The Little Mermaid - October 3, 2006
6. X-Men 3: The Last Stand - October 3, 2006
7. Cars - November 7, 2006
8. The Da Vinci Code - November 14, 2006
9. Superman Returns - November 28, 2006
10. Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest - December 5, 2006

Canada Russia 72' and Superman Returns are still available from Future Shop.

i can categorically attest that "X-Men: The Last Stand" is the rarest and least produced case in the "SteelBook"(tm) lineup. As I mentioned, I know some people, know some people and this is the rarest of them all. what the market dictates as price i have no idea how it works or really care to, but just to let you all know.

scott1598, I think some more people are having a problem posting here. I received an E-mail alert that there is a new post here but I do not see it. It was posted by Living Deadpan.

His post from the E-mail:

Is it 100% sure that Canada isn't getting a Cloverfield steelbook? I really want it!

Also i acquired some new steelbooks recently. Just yesterday i was at futureshop and i stumbled onto the Jungle Book steelbook! it was near the cash and just all alone and lonely. I just had to buy it! Anyone know how rare it is?

I also got me Ong Bak and Hannibal steelbooks. they were in the two for 20$ section at futureshop! I had Ong Bak before but my ex kept it after our break up and since it was only 10$ i'd figure i'd re-buy it heh. And as for Hannibal i remember not being TOO crazy about the movie but 10$ for a steelbook? Why not!

And i also got the I Am Legend, Bee Movie,Beowulf steelbooks.

i'll add it, but where in that link does it say it is a "SteelBook"? it just says 'special packaging'.
