Has The Hudsucker Proxy made it to keepcase yet? I've got all of the Coen bros. movies and it's the only one in a snapper.

I saw the The Iron Giant SE both in snapper and keepcases at Target one time. (Really, I'm not kidding, both the snappers and the keepcase editions were put right next to each other.)

No. The only Warner title I know of that's been re-released in a keepcase without it being a whole different edition (or a Blockbuster/Hollywood Video exclusive) is North by Northwest. It's the New Line snappers that seem to be getting all the keepcase conversions.

Warner is starting to release some of their old titles that were in snappers into keepcases. MY DOG SKIP and THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK are now in keepcases. They both have different covers but the contents of the disk are the same.

FWIW, if you pick up "The Best of The Chris Rock Show" 2-pack or "The Ellen DeGeneres Collection", you'll get at least one DVD in a keepcase that was originally released in a snapper, if not both. I'm pretty sure the cover art and disc contents are the same, and I don't think they're available in Amaray cases individually.

I was just checking around amazon, and found that apparently Robert Altman's The Player has been released in a keepcase.

The old snapper used to say Platinum Series, this "new" one doesn't.

anyone got any info on this?

Could still be a snapper case, and with Amazon you also have to be careful about releases from other regions, which they seem to list right alongside R1 DVDs, especially if it's a listing from an outside seller.

I know, but DVD Planet has that same cover up too.

If anyone has seen this in stores, shout.

GCT,

The gold banner is actually the OLD version. The Silver banner is the current version.

Yeah, look at how unbalanced it is. All that extra room on the right-hand side...tell-tale signs of a snapper.

Anyone want to get rid of their snappers and slip art into keepcases?

I know someone here that must prefer to actually remove the snapper art and slip them into keepcases. If so, I want to offer a trade for Amaray cases for the plastic backers/hubs of those snappers you no longer have any use for. Some of mine broke, and I can't find replacements. I just like original packaging, so I want to offer someone an even trade if they want to do this sort of thing. Just PM me!

I'll have to go pick that up. Has anyone seen any of the other Vacation movies in keepcases yet?

Just found BLADE RUNNER in a keepcase at Target. Looks like the same art work and same contents.

That's actually a newly remastered print done for the 2007 ultimate release, but it is indeed in a keep case.

Anyone want to do this trade....?? Still waiting. Or, if you have insight on how to get replacements, I would appreciate your insight.

Try www.bagsunlimited.com -- I don't recall for sure, but they carry a bunch of stuff, so who knows?

Thanks, Mike. They are a great site (I have bought replacement double Alpha cases from them already), but, unfortunately, no snapper replacements. So my search continues... Anyone else...?

the first Warner version of A CHRISTMAS STORY is now in keepcase; this is the first single-disc version with the green cover, not the 2-disc digipak SE.

There used to be a way to get replacements.
I haven't tried this in a while, and I'm not sure if this is still active since snappers are all but nonexistant these days, but you can give it a shot if you haven't already.

Anyone, seen dark city in a keep case, dvdcompare says it's now in a keepcase, but just wondering if anybody has seen any at B&M's and if so, which ones?

Already going to have to exchange my xmas vacation snapper for a keepcase at b&m.

thanks.

I went to Blockbuster for the first time in a long time and noticed that they have gotten rid of all their snappers or digipaks and replaced them with keepcases.

They must get these covers from the studios because they look just like the snappers. The only difference I can tell is that on the top back of the cover, there is a little white bar that says "This DVD is for rental only".

I can't remember all that I saw but I did see Once Upon A Time in America in a keepcase. Pretty cool considering that it's a digipak release.

I guess the only way to obtain one of these is to buy them from the used section.

You think they would notice if I changed out and gave them my snapper case and kept the keepcase?
