The Last American Virgin also didn't have an insert. Just the dumb ad for the MGM vacation giveaway.
I've bought 4 movies in the last 2 weeks that didn't have inserts, definitely seems to be a trend with a few of the studios.
I like the inserts, so I can jump right to a scene without having to scroll through the scene selection pages on the dvd, they take too long to click through. It's much faster to enter the chapter number on my remote.
IMO, not printing inserts is a studio's way to make more money by giving consumers less product. I would actually prefer a dvd case like Adaptation or Monsters Ball where the chapter listings are either visible through the case or on the back cover, and this shouldn't cost the studios more money because they print the covers anyway. I don't care about the inserts in general, I just want to be able to "read" through the chapters for ease of selection.

No inserts for the entire John Huges collection (Breakfas Club, 16 Candles & Weird Science).
No insert for the new Monty Python's Meaning of Life SE.
Damn you Universal!!

Does anybody's Saved By the Bell have an insert?
It's a hub package (with no slipcase...) and on the inside there is a place to hold an insert but no insert.
[gripe] Also, the damn sticker on the top took a lot of the ink on the box with it when I peeled it off gently. Now I gotta go find a yellow marker...[/gripe]

People in another thread were claiming that their Hughes collection discs *did* have inserts, but that they were just single sheets with chapter listings.

I'm already annoyed that they defaced the back cover art by messing up the UPCs in the boxed set version.

I bought a "brand new" copy of Hulk Still Rules on eBay that just happened to be used.
Did this DVD come with an insert? Mine did not, but that's because my "brand new" copy was not sealed.
