Dagon's Custom Covers

I'm working on a cover for The Last Samurai since I don't like the poster art WB is planning to use for the front.

I'm going with a deep red "rice paper" background texture and gold overtones, similar to some old Japanese art I've seen.

Thoughts or opinions?

Also, I've opened up a personal web-site for a select few of my custom covers. The site also features a forum, DVD Review section, other download links aside from covers, and more. I'm also working on numerous means to offset bandwidth cost so I will be able to host other covers from the userbase. Drop in and take a look around.

Instead of that 3rd (!) pic of Tom Cruise underneath the UPC code you could put Ken Watanabe. He is the actor that got an Oscar-nomination.

Revision

Since it appears WB will be using that same image of Cruise I'm using on the front, I had to take a trip down Revision Road. This is what I ended up with:

see Rossi, no Cruise under UPC

Re: Much Better

Thanks Vong. I'm still not sure of the text layout on the back, but I won't know for certain how much space I have to use until I get the credits typed out and add the "extra info" to the legal text.

Second one looks great. My only complaint is that the spine looks a bit odd. Other than that, good work!
