Home Alone SE, ever?

Am I the only one here who would love to have this movie get the SE treatment? I was so sure that Fox was going to release as part of their now defunct Five Star line. But it seems each holiday season passes and there's no SE. Heck, there doesn't even seem to be any demand.

Pretty crappy. Non-anamorphic video that really doesn't look much better than VHS, and only trailers. Fox has said time and again that this is in the works, but it didn't make this year's holiday season obviously. I think 'obstacles' were cited, but not specified. In any event, hopefully next year. You'd think like one of the 15 highest grossing films of all-time, and certainly one of Fox's most successful titles would be prime for re-release and re-promotion...

How could they not, ya know? I mean to me it seems to be a classic of sorts. And it's a Holiday movie. On top of that, it did amazing at the box office at the time.

I can't imagine why they haven't done it--who knows, maybe it's being thought of.

I've been holding out for the SE. As was stated above, Fox was hoping to get it out this year, but that didn't happen. Maybe next year.

I would love a Special 2 disc Edition of Home Alone! I hope they don't package it up with the part 2 & 3. I would only buy the First one!

I gave up hope last year and bought it then.
Of course, I'd double-dip in a heartbeat if a SE was ever released. Would love a commentary track by Stern and Pesci.

Two was great, either because I was a kid when that came out, or I'm fasinated with New York, but either way, I liked two. I tried to watch three when it was on a few weeks ago, I only go through about two minutes....

I liked both of the first two movies with M. Culkin. I like them both. I think #2 is slighty better than the first in my opinion but I have been waiting to see if they would release them out on DVD soon. So far zippo. I'll prob end up buying #1 and # by the end of this year or sometime next year. They are both still a classic to me.

#2 was good if for no other reason than Tim Curry's stunningly impressive ability to imitate the Grinch's evil grin . . .
