Any chance of Bad Boys 2 before Xmas?

What do you think the chances are of Bad Boys 2 being released on DVD before Christmas? Pirates of the Carribean is hitting DVD on Dec 18 and it was released theatrically one week before BB2. I don't know what Columbia's DVD turnaround time is like though. And I'm not sure of BB2's release dates internationally.

I'd wager it's chances are pretty good. Seems that almost every major movie that hits theaters before August (and even some after) make it to DVD by Christmas.

Hmmm, I don't know. They usually save a few summer films for January and February, so they'll have something big to sell then. The turnaround time varies. For some it's four months, for others it's seven or eight months. Bay's DVD's are usually loaded, so it may take more time to put the release together. Then again, this is Columbia/Tri-Star we're talking about, so they may want to double dip it like so many others they've done. If they do that, we should see the initial release before the end of the year.

The odds are pretty good. Studios try to put the big name titles out before Christmas, and unless Columbia Tri-Star has a slew of big name titles, or Bad Boys 2 just falls off at the box office, it will likely be out before Christmas to maximize sales.

I'd say 90% (giving you an answer), but it will be tight (in December but before Christmas). Just a guess.

I read, on the Digital Bits I believe, that Bad Boys 2 was scheduled for sometime in December. Sorry, I cannot remember the exacte date. Now, I know the Bits isn't the most reliable site but I think that might actually happen.

That would be my guess. An initial barebones release with a SE sometime next year, which seems to be the pattern Columbia follows--see Black Hawk Down for a perfect example of this.

Cool!! I just saw it last night- and can't wait for the DVD! There were some action scenes that need to be slowed down to frame-by-frame, just to see how amazing they are!!!

Hoping for another Bay commentary, enjoyed his rambling on the first movie.

I will bet we will see some version of Bad Boys 2 by Christmas. Although, I would rather get a packed SE in Feb/March, then a barebones DVD for Christmas, a SE 8 months later, and a Superbit. But I can guarentee we will not see a DTS track on the first release, unless it is a Superbit or Superbit Deluxe.

I'd prefer the superbit, but I'll end up buying both, then getting pissed off because I have to buy the Superbit once it comes out, like I always do!!
