How do you get Amazon to put a show on their site that isn't released yet?

I've noticed at Amazon there are several shows that are on there that are not yet released that have this message.

Availability: NOT YET RELEASED: The studio is currently not producing this title on DVD, but to be notified when it is available, enter your e-mail address at right. You'll also be voting for this release; we'll let the studio know how many customers are waiting for this title.

And i was wondering how do i get shows like Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air for example to appear on their as well?

I'm not sure, but I've tried getting them to add some shows through their Catalog Builder:

with just about no success though.

You can't get them to put something up for sale that is not available. Yes, I know, I shop there too and have seen many of entries just as you described. So yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about. Most of them have a page like that because at 1 point in time Amazon was told by the studios that they were going to be released. There may not even have been a date associated with it, but at the time Amazon felt that it was popular enough that they would put up a 'notify me' page for the item. Things change, studios nix future releases, s**** happens, and that title will no longer see the light of day. Amazon never gets told to take it down, so it sits there in perpetuity mocking us.

Anyone who had anxiously watched the Omega Man / Soylent Green pages go from 'notify me' to a release date w/ preorder to completely non-existant in the last couple of years knows exactly what I'm talking about. (Yeah, I know they're actually being released now and are back up, I'm talking about the time before that)
