Copyright symbol?

Where can I get a font with the copyright symbol? Y'know, that little c with the circle around it? Or do I have to make my own?

I'm a dope! Where's the character map? I opened up a few fonts and viewed them, but didn't see the symbol, and or which key I would have to press to get it!

If you have it enabled: Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools
-or-

Use "Search" to find it on your "C:" drive.

just hold down the ALT key and type 0169 then release the ALT key. Voila, the good ol' circle c.

Ric, if you are using Windows click on the START tab, select RUN, and type in "charmap.exe". This will bring up the full character map (and applicable codes) for all the different fonts on your computer. The codes can often vary depending on the particular font you are using, but for the most common ones the codes listed above will work. Don't feel bad, someone here had to explain all this to me also, and just like you I felt stupid when I discovered how incredibly easy it all was.

As far as the ALT+0169 goes, make sure you are using your number pad and not the numbers at the top of your keyboard. Hold down ALT, type 0169 (on the the number pad on the side) and then release ALT. Should work for you.

Or it is possible that if you are using an odd font that it wont work.
