This is a two part question:
First, what is the quality of the currently available DVD version of Se7en (transfer, extras, etc).
Second, does anyone know of any planned special editions for Se7en? I know Criterion has a laserdisc version, but I haven't seen anything else.
Thanks,
-joelmo

the current version of Seven is a flipper. There's supposed to be a new Platinum Edition coming out this year, but no date has been set. www.dvdfile.com has the current version listed as discountinued, so hopefully the new one will be out by summer. If I were you I'd definitely wait until the new version comes out.

I know that this isn't terribly helpful, but the criterion LD of SE7EN was incredible. It is long (movie and extras stretch out over, of course, 7 sides) but the quality of the image, commentary, and extras was, in my opinion, the best Criterion ever offered, on par with Raging Bull. If you can hunt it down, go ahead.
