I gave it a few days to see if my memory filled anything in for me, but.... it didn't, so my thoights are as rbrown, only more middling. In fairness, I did wind up watching the dubbed version for ease, so... maybe the quality was lost in translation? Not bad, but not impressed.

Maybe it's because I tend to like that pairing - if well done - but I would defend most attempts at 'self awareness' because it is almost inconceivable that a "modern" character wouldn't have at least a passing awareness of the basic 'rules' learned from slasher films - avoid dark places, don't wander off alone, call for help immediately, etc. There were reasonably reasonable answer/responses in this film, but many stretch credulity with the gormlessness of their characters...
