DVD Talk review of 'The Dutchman's Island (Spanish Release)'
I read Svet Atanasov's DVD review of The Dutchman's Island (Spanish Release) at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=21465 and...
Svet, thanks for the review as I recently saw the DVD listed through my browsing at both xploited and dvdgo but did not find much details about the movie itself. Sound like something I would enjoy based also on the two other films you mentioned.
Btw, do you know what version of Mediteraneo is the one to get? Thanks.

Hi Buddha:
It is a very light film and quite good for a sunday afternoon. If you however want a truly spectacular cinema I would strongly recommend The Whore and the Whale. Muchg better than the Dutchman's Island, also a bit of a escapist-picture. Read here:

As to Mediteraneo both the Aussie and the British discs are running the same print which is in pretty poor condition. Best bet would be a R1 remastered release but there has been zero interest. With other words I'd recommend that you rent it at Nicheflix if you would like to see it but hold on as far as importing goes.
Ok, Ciao,

Pro-B thanks for the recomendation and I did not La Puta y la ballena from your previous review. I'm glad you guys are doing more international releases as my interests are predominately foreign films.
