Brotherhood of the wolf dvd review!
Heres the link to the review

If you look at the extras rating it suggests to get the canadian edition if im looking for extras. I play dvds using my Xbox so would a canadian dvd be also region 1 and have no compatability issues and would anyone know of a cheap place to buy it from?

The US R1 release of Crimson Rivers had a director commentary, but the English subtitle option had been left off by mistake.

Right now it looks like the commentary tracks on the Canadian 3-disc set will NOT have subtitles (*sniff*), but the other extra features (documentaries, deleted scenes) WILL. There's a Brotherhood of the Wolf thread on the DVD Talk (general) forum with more than 200 posts...take a look at that for more details.

just checked The Brotherhood of the Wolf (3 discs edition) here in Montreal and we have in english and french version. So i guess that the extras in english version are in english without english subtitle.

Ok I hear everyone saying the single disc release has a perfect transfer. Well I got the 3-disc and I noticed lots of pixelization especially on the reds. Thou the DTS track is awesome. I noticed the video rate ranged from 3-5.5 bps and audio 7-9 bps. So is if someone could compare the 2 I'd like to know if there is a difference because if there is I'll get the single disc version.

the CANADIAN single disc release and Three Disc release feature the SAME movie disc...so basically, the single disc is just disc one of the three disc set....but in the STATES this title was released by Universal and apparently has a better transfer than we got up here in CAnada...although, they didn't get a DTS track (or so i've heard)...
