Hi,

I'm planning on getting a mini-dish and getting "grey market" US service. The thing is... I need to pick up a dish in the States (well, don't NEED to, but they're much cheaper there). Anyways... I heard that there's kind of a blanket rule about US border cities selling disheds to Canadians. The closest state to me (in Winnipeg, MB0 is North Dakota, but I've heard Canadians can't get dishes in Grand Forks, etc. Does anyone know of the closest city where I could get a dish? Any city, retailer help would be mucho appreciated! Also, any website out there that address this subject? I tried searching the web, but couldn't find anything. Any help would be great!

thanks,

Joel

Thanks for the reply. I thought about ebay, but a friend of mind heard through others about some deal in the states for one dish, two receivers, and two cards for 79$US. And if this deal exists, that would be optimal. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about this "don't sell to canadians" rule and where it is enforced, not enforced etc. Especially in the North Dakota/ Minnesota area.
Thanks again,

Joel

I don't know anything about not selling to Canadians. Best Buy has a dish, reciever and card for $49. I'm sure there's one near by.

If you can't buy it, why not ask someone on the street to buy it for you? I'd do it -- except I live in Texas...
