Want to add portable Bluetooth speaker for DirecTV
Looking to add a portable bluetooth speaker for listening to DirecTV in the kitchen while still playing through Onkyo. Rechargeable preferably in case we want to move it around. When cooking or doing dishes its hard to pick up all of the dialog unless you turn up the volume, which makes it a little loud where the TV is at. And my wife sits at the kitchen table when she has to do some work, so when we're in separate rooms one of us is getting audio high or low.
Is it possible? Where is best place to add transmitter, on DirecTV or Onkyo? Passthrough?
Suggestions for a transmitter and speaker?
Distance would be ~20-25' with direct line of sight.
Currently:
DirecTV Genie HR44/500 (HDMI out to)
Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR809 (HDMI for Video out to TV, sound output to 5.1)
TV: Sony Bravia KDL-75W850C
I thought about utilizing the Zone 2 of the Onkyo, but not sure if that's the best/easiest way to go since I'm only interested in broadcasting the DirecTV via additional bluetooth. Seems like it would be an extra cable. And, I'd like to be able to just control it from the speaker (on/off; sound up/down)
Thanks
